Also wtf was Brutasha all about anyway? Why was that even there? It didn’t work out, it couldn’t have, and we got nothing from that relationship in the end anyway so it was absolutely pointless.
Just hear me out: Clint and Nat went on a secret SHIELD mission, we would have got to hear “Strike Team Delta” at least once throughout the franchise, they get married for the mission ( AND THATS WHAT HAPPENED IN BUDAPEST?) but then never really get to the divorce part and kinda don’t want to.? They stay married, they are obviously in love with each other cause they are fucking SOULMATES (fight me) AND we have the arch for that same character development but for both Clint and Nat now.
The fact that Marvel went there brings me to the assumption that they needed to build a character arch for Clint, right? That the Avengers needed to lay low and how FUN would it be if someone from the team happened to have a secret farm in the middle of nowhere AND a secret family on top of that? Okay nice, let it be Clint, cool, but what if it was both Clint and Nat?! What if they have been secretly married this whole time, and had a farm in the countryside for emergencies like that? It would have brought the exact same amount of surprise to the team aka the humor of the situation would have stayed present BUT it would have been even better if we got a story of that marriage on top of that as well? Seriously take away Clint’s family and suddenly the movies start to make sense more. There was absolutely no point of making Clint’s family happen like whatsoever.
